We’re pleased to introduce our new web and email hosting packages. These packages have been designed to provide you with a performant, reliable platform for your website and email addresses.
To ensure the data sent from your website to your customers is kept secure, we provide a free SSL certificate with every package. This means when people visit your website, they’ll see the green lock icon in the address bar which shows them the information they send and receive is secure. In addition, Google have started taking into account whether a website is using SSL to help rank the results. In Google’s own words:
We've seen positive results, so we're starting to use HTTPS as a ranking signal. For now it's only a very lightweight signal...But over time, we may decide to strengthen it, because we’d like to encourage all website owners to switch from HTTP to HTTPS to keep everyone safe on the web.
We know how important it is for your website to remain available to your customers. No one likes downtime; it looks unprofessional to visitors if your website isn’t working, and if your website doesn’t load straight away, they may not come back. To make sure this doesn’t happen, all of the servers we use in our packages are configured for high availability. We host your website on more than one server, so if one server should stop responding, another one automatically takes its place almost instantly. This means you can rest assured that your website will be available to your customers even during busy periods.
Our servers are regularly backed up overnight (how regularly depends on which package you choose). If we ever need to perform maintenance, we do so one server at a time, and during the night when traffic is quietest, to minimise any potential disruption.
To keep our pricing simple, we offer three hosting packages designed for three different levels of performance. However, we understand that your business requirements may be more complex, so if you need something else – such as a dedicated server – we’re happy to provide more bespoke solutions.
We don’t just set up your package and leave you to it – we provide excellent support for the lifetime of the contract. If you have any questions or problems, just get in touch via phone or email. We don’t have a call centre – you call us directly. Support is available from 9:30 – 17:30, Monday – Friday. Pricing for support is competitive, and our Silver packages comes with up to 2 hours of free support every month, while our Gold package includes up to 8 hours every month.
